Edison International, headquartered in Rosemead, Calif., is the parent company of Southern California Edison. The company was founded in 1886 and is run by Theodore Craver Jr., who serves as chairman, president and CEO. Most of Edison's political contributions went to defeat Proposition 7 in 2008. The measure, had it passed, would have required California utilities to obtain half their power from renewable sources by 2025.
