The Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians is a federally recognized tribe of Kumeyaay Indians, sometimes known as Mission Indians. The Viejas Group runs numerous business enterprises in the San Diego area. It owns and operates Viejas Casino, numerous restaurants, an outlet center, a Native American Bank, two RV parks, an outdoor arena near San Diego State University and 50 percent of the Broadcast Company of the Americas.
