William H. Lyon is president and chief operating officer of William Lyon Homes, a Newport Beach-based company that designs and builds single-family homes in California. Lyon was appointed to the post in 2009. He held several roles in the company prior to that, most recently executive vice president. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and is the son of the CEO and co-founder of the business, Gen. William Lyon, who started the firm in 1956.
